First Destination Survey

The Career Services and Institutional Analysis offices conduct a survey within six-weeks of graduation for each academic term regarding graduates’ career plans. As part of NMSU’s accountability to students, parents and families, and other stakeholders, it is important for NMSU to determine and to report the number of graduates who are successful in gaining employment, the type of employment, plans for graduate or professional school, etc.  The information ascertained is then generated into a report entitled First Destination Survey Results.  This report provides information on graduates’ success.

It is important to note that all survey data is self-reported by graduates and results are based on a varying sample size that is presented in detail under the heading Response Rates in each of the reports listed below.
